Mr. Muklesur Rahman is one of the Independent Directors of National Bank Limited. He also serves as the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Bank.
With an impressive career spanning 38 years in the competitive banking sector, Mr. Rahman is a highly accomplished leader. He has held the position of Managing Director and CEO at both Shimanto Bank and NRB Bank, where he demonstrated exceptional leadership and strategic vision.
Mr. Rahman has also served in key roles at several leading local and multinational banks, including United Commercial Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, ANZ Grindlays Bank, Citi NA, Standard Chartered Nepal, and Eastern Bank. His extensive experience equips him with unique insights into the banking industry, making him a key contributor to the National Bank.

Mr. Md. Zulkar Nayn has been appointed as an Independent Director through the reconstitution of the Board of Directors of National Bank Limited on August 20, 2024.
Prior to joining National Bank Limited, he held the position of Executive Director at Bangladesh Bank, where he demonstrated his extensive expertise in foreign exchange reserve management, regulations and supervision of banks and Finance Companies.
He has write-ups and articles on banking and finance in magazines and journals. During his career in Bangladesh Bank, Mr. Zulkar Nayn held important positions in various Departments including General Manager of Department of Financial Institutions and Markets, Department of Currency Management. He also held position of General Manager at Rangpur Office. He also worked as Executive Director and Head of Bangladesh Bank Training Academy.
Mr. Zulkar Nayn obtained M.Com.(Management) from University of Dhaka. He has done MBA from IBA, University of Dhaka and MBM from BIBM. He attended training and seminars in India, Malaysia, UAE, Switzerland, Australia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Canada and USA.
He is presently a member of the Executive Committee & Risk Management Committee of the Board of Directors of the Bank. He is also Chairperson of NBL securities, a subsidiary of National Bank Limited.

Mr. Tabith Awal has recently been appointed as a Director of National Bank PLC. He is a distinguished business leader and entrepreneur with extensive experience across a broad spectrum of industries, including banking, insurance, real estate, energy, agriculture, textiles, and information technology.
He currently serves as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Multimode Group, where he plays a key role in strategic planning, business development, and the operational management of the Group’s diverse business portfolio. He earlier served as a Director on the Board of National Bank from 2001 to 2003.
Mr. Tabith Awal is the current President of the Bangladesh Football Federation and has demonstrated active engagement in sports administration and public life, reflecting his commitment to broader social development.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and a Master of Science (MSc) in Management Information Systems from The George Washington University, USA.
His diverse professional background, combined with his leadership acumen and commitment to sustainable business practices, brings valuable insight to the Board.

Ms. Nazneen Ahmad has been appointed as a Director of National Bank PLC by Bangladesh Bank. She is a distinguished business leader with extensive experience spanning over two decades across the garments, chemicals, and packaging sectors in Bangladesh.
She currently serves as Chairman of Dye Affin Ltd. and Officina BD Ltd., where she provides strategic leadership in marketing, supply chain development, and business expansion, particularly in garments-related chemical solutions. She is also the Managing Director of TS Holdings Ltd. and Zyta Garments Ltd., and holds Directorships in several reputed companies including TS Packaging Ltd., Denimach Ltd., and Denimach Washing Ltd.
Over the years, she has played a pivotal role in strengthening operational efficiency, expanding international market reach, and introducing innovative and environmentally conscious practices within the textile and allied industries.
Earlier, she served as a Consular Assistant at the Canadian High Commission in Dhaka. She also worked as a Consultant with CARE Canada, contributing to development programs focused on women’s empowerment and rural livelihood.
Ms. Nazneen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University, Canada, with a major in Women’s Studies.
